Paulaharjun Teno
Experience the Culture and Nature of the Teno and Utsjoki Valleys by rowing with a traditional riverboat
1st Day: Yläköngäs Rapids and the traditional life of River Sami People
Rowing
trip with the traditional long Teno riverboats is starting from Baadus

wild Teno salmon. When our boats are approaching Yläköngäs we are
hearing the mourning of the rapids and the speed of the boats starts to
increase. The steersmen are taking a strong grip on thepaddle and the
rower must be on the alert. The first two parts of the rapid will be
rafted, but the last one is too hazardous and we need to walk the boats
around it. The rowing trip will be about 35 km.
